Becky chose to runaway from Craig and her mother in order to "save" Brighteyes. She had to endure all sorts of hardships, and, in the end, found herself in hostpital and seriously injured. She was lucky that Brighteyes was "adopted" by another, kind, person; it could have been far worse.

Other safer alternatives that Becky could have chosen are: She could have gone to the high moor and kept bright eyes there and brought him food every day and taking him on walks around back to the house then back to the moor or maybe left to stay with a relative that likes dogs that she can trust and stay with that relative.

She could have told her mother where the dogs were going and then she could help Becky to stop it from happening. To stop Craig from taking the dogs away in the gray land rover she could have confronted him in front of her mother and the man who drivers the land rover and then they might agree with her and help her save the dogs.

ReplyDeleteREALLY give Craig a piece of her mind and get into a huge argument and not talk to each other then scream and yell and throw rock at the land rover when it can to take bright eyes away and hug bright eyes and not let go until the land rover left. Or she could have taken bright eyes up to the top of the high moor and left him there and just bring him table scrapes until she could find a safer place to keep him.

• Blocked the doors to the kennels and not let them take the dogs

She could have actually talked to the driver of the land rover and told him/her how she feels about him/her taking her dogs away and killing them.

1.) Instead of running away to try and save brighteyes Becky could tell her mother what really happened to the grey hounds and they could have moved away and kept them. Becky also could have tried to make Craig do something better with the grey hounds when they couldn’t run anymore like send them somewhere they can be taken care of.

-I think some alternatives for Becky would be talk her mom into moving and secretly take brighteyes and not tell Craig. She could also have hid Brighteyes. She could force him to be left at the track and on that same day they move into their grammas house and move into their own.

She could have told her mother about what she saw and ask if they could move. If her mother didn’t agree to move away than she could have taken Bright Eyes to the animal shelter. Maybe she could have asked Craig if he wouldn’t do take them to the animal shelter but he probably wouldn’t even care.

1. I think that Becky could do instead of running away with Brighteyes was to give Brighteyes to his dad so Brighteyes wouldn’t have to race anymore greyhound races. 1) I guess Becky didn’t have to run away like that. She just could have told Craig to get away from this house or I’ll call the police or something like that. We all know what Craig did to the dogs except for mom the only one that doesn’t know she’s always on Craig side. 1) I think that Becky should have talked with her mother and then she should have discussed the concept with Craig. Another reason that Becky could have chosen was that Becky should have gave the dogs to the dad so he could have kept good care of them instead of the greyhounds racing.
