ReplyDeleteWhat I think happened was, because Jonas’s eyes are different from most people maybe when he through the apple it reflected against something a light post, a building or another object because it is shiny and Jonas thought it was part of the apple. Or maybe because his eyes are different the apple looked different for a minuet but it didn’t actually change at all.

What I think happened was that his eyes were just playing tricks on him. If it did change, it may have been that it turned a different colour, shape, grew etc… I think it may have done these things because it said, “Unchanged. The same size and shape: a perfect sphere." The book said it was the same size and shape, maybe meaning it changed in those ways.

I think that when Jonas’s friend threw the apple there was a reflection that hit the apple so it would change shape and color. When the apple was in Jonas’s hand the reflection had disappeared.

ReplyDeleteWhat I think happened is that when he trough the apple the air made it change because it was going so fast and that I think it was changing colors and that maybe when Jonas through it his eyes caught something bright that reflected off of something to make it look like the apple was changing but when Jonas caught it was back to normal but his friend didn’t see anything changing. ReplyDeleteI think it changed because he can see the future. The apple changed into a bruised, old apple because eventually they would drop the apple. The Giver said that Jonas could see change so he would be a good receiver of memory. Branden
ReplyDeleteI think that Jonas was imaging that the apple was changing colors, in my opinion I don’t think the apple really changed colors he was properly just daydreaming. And the giver was giving him a sign that tells him about the reviser of memory.

Why? Maybe it was from a different community and when it entered a different community and was thrown around something inside the apple made it change.

I think that Jonas had seen a reflection in a mirror and the apples shape was different when it was in the air and was seen in the reflection but when Jonas had caught the apple in his hands it was the same apple as before in the air.

I think the apple changed because no one saw it in mid air. I also think Jonas saw it change. I think the apple changed in side not on the outside. Maybe the apple had something to do with the ceremony of 12 that Jonas got to be the receiver of memories. Maybe the apple did change in size of shape but Jonas didn’t see the apple change.

I think that Jonas had some sort of vision that made his see the apple change and I think it’s some sort of connection to being the Receiver of Memory because Jonas was chosen to be the Receiver of Memory. If the apple did change then I think it would change its color or it could change its shape.

I think what happened is Jonas got a sign that everything was going to change. He might have seen it change because the Receiver of Memory gives the next Receiver memory’s of things that have changed. I think it changed by changing the colour, the size and the feel of the apple (Texture).

I think Jonas actually saw something happen to the apple, he saw it change in mid air! In my opinion it did change. I think it changed because Jonas believed that it actually changed or Jonas was actually seeing the correct thing. It might have changed by color. It would have changed color because it might have been reflecting off something else in the room or it just might have done it on its own. I think Jonas may have a power to see things that maybe others just can’t.

I think the reason why he thought that when the apple change and un change was his imagination. I think the reason How it changed in the air was that he was thinking about his friends changing. I think the way the apple looked was older because he was imaging his friends older.

ReplyDeleteI think the apple changed because something had made him have a flashback. He never did understand the flashback so it just seemed the apple changed slightly. I think it changed colour quickly and turned really bright to show his bright eyes represented something important in his past.

ReplyDeleteI think that only Jonas saw the apple change because Jonas has the miraculous power to see beyond. The giver said that Jonas already had the power to see, so a difference would be that the apple changed, like the people at the ceremony of twelve did, because Jonas was getting closer than he was before to becoming the receiver of memories, so Jonas was almost ready to see the memories of the past, and memories that don’t exist in his community, in other words, see beyond. How I think the apple changed would probably be that it was only in Jonas’s head, because nobody else can see beyond. Things like the apple probably happen often just Jonas hadn’t noticed the changes until he got closer to becoming receiver of memories. Catherine

I think that when the apple changed it, changed color and shape and for an instant looked like Jonas’s (real) mothers face, but Jonas never saw his real mother, so he did not recognize what the apple was. I think that the apple changed because Jonas was somehow looking into the future where he would find more about why he has pale eyes.

The giver is a serious book but personally I don’t think the apple changed I just think that he was nervous of the ceremony of (12). Even if the apple did change it had to be something that was hard to see because Asher didn’t see it. So it might just be an optical illusion. There was no close evidence of it change but back in the story he said he saw a U.F.O. not once but twice. Remember its my opinion.

I think the giver changed the apple to give him a sign. I think the giver changed it because he new Jonas was going to be the receiver. I think the color changed because the light hit it in a certain direction to make Jonas see that the apple has changed colors. It changed because it was secretly given to Jonas by the giver.
